Two days ago my fitbit versa stopped receiving texts. In notifications, it says notification service not running. I had a fitbit versa for 10 days when it died and would not power on, luckily I was able to return it. This is the replacement that has stopped working properly after only 7 weeks. This is very frustrating. I have tried everything from restarting phone, uninstalling fitbit app and finally today I did a factory restart. Nothing is working and as far as I can see all settings have been enabled. Please help. Prior to this I never had a fitbit but so far I have not been impressed with fitbit and have been utterly annoyed with this product.

@Mom2girls2009 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and I'm also sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not receiving text notifications. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article may contain steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, monitor your watch and see if it receives the notifications properly.

 

As a side note, please let me know what is the brand and model of your phone.

Still not working. I have an ASUS ZenFone max. While it's not listed as a compatible model, it worked for 4 weeks.

@Mom2girls2009 I'm sorry for the late response. However, thank you for letting me know the model of your phone.

 

I checked out the Supported devices list and I'm afraid that your phone is not in the list. This may be the reason why the notifications feature doesn't work properly.

 

I'd like you to give your vote to this Feature Suggestion which requests compatibility of this device. The more votes this request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.
