Fitbit Versa replacement

My Versa is not working from 4 days. I contact the Fitbit support and I received the replacement order. In the meantime, I disconnected the phone clock, and I can't pair it anymore.

Should I send the old one when the smartwatch is replaced? I don't know how to proceed and how long will take the replacement. The smartwach is a gift from my daughter for 2020 Christmas.

I live in Constanta, Romania.

@iogamac Can't tell you how long it'll take, but if they wanted the old one back it'd be required up front before you got a replacement.

I hope they keep their word on the obligations. I read here that in some cases they did not honor the request, even if they emailed the request with a registration number.

@iogamac I had warranty replacements sent twice, no problem. I don't recall seeing posts on here where someone was approved a warranty replacement and never got it?

@MarkMM, Thanks a lot. In Romania it is difficult with guarantees. I do everything possible not to grant them, to say that you are to blame. I went straight to the chat on fitbit.com. I was honest and said I went into the pool with him. They checked my fitbit account and confirmed that I was under warranty. Here he would have asked me for an invoice, a receipt, etc. Versa was a gift from my daughter, so I would not have had any documents to prove the date of purchase. It all happened very quickly. In 10 minutes I received the email with the 2 options to solve the problem. However, I have seen that here in the fitbit community there are many who have had problems with support

So what was the result of the 10 minute chat? What were the two options?

The first was to replace the device with one of the same model, and the second 50% discount for another model. I opted for the same model. After completing the data, I received an email with a summary of my application (name, address, etc.) and related costs, which in my case are O. I was confirmed that the package is ready to be handed to the courier and he tells me that it will arrive in 3-5 working days.
