I've been researching topics about how the versa tracks steps when driving. I don't mind if its just a few steps, but for about an hour of driving I rack up over 3000 steps. This is unacceptable for a health tracking device. The watch should have a driving setting where it disables tracking when moving over a specific speed. Why would I want to track steps when driving over 30mph?
What can I do that automatically doesn't record steps (Or stairs for that matter) when driving? My wifes Alta HR has no problem with this and thinks I'm crazy. There is no point in spending $200 on a fitness watch that doesn't track steps. My pebble watches worked perfectly for step tracking.

Welcome to the community @ZombieHedgehog. I'll be glad to assist you with your steps while driving inquiry. Thank you for your feedback regarding this subject.
On bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission your device may add some steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added when driving isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats. If you want to remove the steps from your daily total, manually log the driving activity for the time you were in a vehicle. Why does it track steps when moving at driving speed? Is there a mode to disable tracking over a specific speed? Again, my pebble didn't have any problems with this nor my partners alta.

I ride motorcycle to work, a touring bike, not a sport bike so the suspension is "soft", and the roads are generally smooth and log a few thousand steps. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity permanently but still count steps?
