I got Fitbit versa because it is supposed to be waterproof or that’s what they lied to me about. All the bull you can swim with it etc. So because I do search and rescue and sometimes need to walk through rivers etc I thought it would be good to have. However I never had to get it wet until one day I literally stuck my hand in the water quickly and than the screen went blank moments later then turned off. All Fitbit would offer was a small amount off. Fitbit is a joke advertising it as waterproof I’ve heard some other cases of issues like this. Long story short I used to love Fitbit and recommend it to everyone and I still wanted a new fit bit after this happened until Fitbit support offered this joke of an offer when they should have repaired or replaced it since it did not functions as they said so basically lied. And when anyone asks me about a fitness tracker I tell them don’t ever buy from Fitbit and tell them what happened. So Fitbit if you advertise it as waterproof and that you can swim with it then it should not fail when sticking your hand for seconds into the water. Shouldn’t matter if warranty is over. Stand by your product or don’t tell lies and talk up a item when it’s all lies. All should work not some sometimes. Very disappointed customer

@Tyler12 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!
Sorry for the delay in my reply and to hear about your issue with your Versa after immersing it in water. The Versa is swimproof and I have personally swam with mine. Still this isn't the case for you. Support does follow the guidelines listed in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. This is why they offer a discount to help customers in this situation. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.
Let me know how it goes.
