Fitbit Versa will not receive text messages

I have a Fitbit Versa that has worked great until yesterday. I updated my iPhone 8plus with the new IOS 13.1.1 software update. After this installation, my Fitbit has only been getting notifications from email, snapchat, calls etc. and not one text message will come through. I realize this update is probably the source of my text notification issue but was wondering if anyone has found a solution? It is driving me nuts.

 

I have restarted my watch, my phone, unpaired and re-paired the watch to bluetooth, deleted the fit bit app restarted my phone and re-downloaded the app to pair with the device, none of which has worked. I have also checked notifications settings for messages on both my iPhone and within the Fitbit notifications on the app, both are clicked on to allow notifications. When I have toggled on and off these last two settings in the past, I have selected allow notifications between my phone and watch multiple times. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Very frustrating!

I have the exact same problem with my versa only my phone is galaxy s10. All notifications work except texts which is very annoying! Called fitbit help desk, went thru resolution steps multiple times... they finally just said "it's a known issue ", no eta on resolution. Ok..... now what??

I clicked on my picture in the app but don't see my phone.  I have an iPhone 7, ios 13.3.1 and the fitbit version seems to be current at 3.13.  My versa never got texts like my Charge did.

OMG I have been trying to fix this for months and months with no useful answers from FitBit.  Thank you so much, It WORKED!!

What a sad life you must lead...  Obviously it worked for some but not nearly all.  There are continual problems relating to the original question.  There is absolutely no need for your nasty comments.  Many people are frustrated.  I'm very glad you aren't having the same issues.  If you were, you'd understand how ironically ignorant your comment is....

Does your versa receive texts yet? Mine stopped around the same time and still nothing. It's so annoying. I've contacted customer service multiple times and they say it's a known issue but then more months go by and it still doesn't work. I'm so disappointed I bought a fitbit instead of a different one

No mine never started to work. I think fitbit wants people to purchase the newer versions. I bought the apple watch to be on the safe side incase this happens again.

So annoying! Especially while they're still advertising texts etc. And stores are still selling versa's. Shame on fitbit

I was getting the same issue below and I’ve finally fixed the issue! 

The notifications settings for your messages must be on ‘show previews’ - when unlocked option.

Omg. I have done all the same troubleshooting issues for the last week and NOTHING worked. Until I found this page. I recently got a new iphone and my texts werent going through and thats what I mainly use my fitbit for. I also had the EXACT same issue... it was in the "messaging" and "allow previews" always or when unlocked. Thanks all for the info, so glad I found this page.

For those with iPhones we just made a strange discovery after months of getting every notification except text messages. In Settings>Notifications>Messages you need to set Show Previews to either When Unlocked or Always. If you have it on Never it will not send to your FitBit.

I’ve done all of the above listed and work with several tech’s and still not resolved. I upgraded last December because I thought it was my Fitbit. It worked fine and then it just stopped. Please assist
