Fitbit Versa will not turn on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit Versa was working and it just randomly turned off and will not turn back on. I have the Fitbit charging but there is no sign of it turning back on. Anyone know what is going on? This is a little frustrating since I have had it for a week.

Hey all. I emailed them and they send they will send me a packet to return them. They haven’t since I am in Asia. Still awaiting for the process to finish. I wish they can just do refunds since a lot of us who have a versa watch breaks down.

Hey guys, welcome aboard!

@ronrof, I just want to make sure that you are following the correct restart process. On the Versa itself:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Versa doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.
  4. If it responds, please fully charge it

If the issue persists, let me know, and I will continue assisting you.

@ArgiCL, Thanks for the update. Let me know the outcome. In the meantime, I will really appreciate your patience.

Keep me posted!

Still unable to use my Fitbit. It's completely dead, nothing is reviving it back. Tried  charging the device, holding the left button for more than 10secs. It's not using a 3rd party watch face.. what must I do? Looks like this issue is not resolved for anyone though the moderator keeps saying issue is resolved.

You can't change the clock face if you can't get it to turn on and I also have the problem with a box coming up saying cannot connect to versa thst just keeps flashing.  First I need to get it turned on to do anything and I am a techie and no matter what I do it won't turn on

I tried going to Clock Faces but it kept giving me this error: "Unable to connect to Versa" even though it is nearby on the charging dock.

Some thing just happened to me today. I have the Versa since june 2018 and it always worked flawessly. The batery still lasts 4 days no problems at all..... today with more or less 60% batery the screen just stoped turning on.... the light senssors in the back are still working, but the screen wont turn on.

I tryied all the reset and hard reset methods.... but nothing works and the screen is dead.

I had a similar problem with my first versa but I had a tiny crack on the lower part of the screen so it probably got water damage 😂

I'm currently going through the same problem with MY SECOND Fitbit

Sorry, I hit post button by mistake. I'm currently going through the same thing with my SECOND Fitbit Versa. The first one happened the day after I wore it while hitting the heavy bag at the gym. I even checked beforehand to make sure that was OK and saw that it was. Next day it was off and I thought the battery just died. It never recharged. I went through all the steps with an agent to try and reset it with no luck. At that point I only had it for about a month. They sent me a replacement, now just a few days ago, the second one is doing the same thing only a couple months after receiving it. It started with the heart rate monitor not working. Then it started randomly activating the wrong security pin while it was still on my wrist. It did it rapidly until it locked my watch and required me to unlock it from my phone, which was also a task in itself. An agent tried to walk me through the reset again, but again to no avail. So now they're sending me a third one to replace it. This is not a good look for a $200+ smart watch. I have a feeling there's something deeper going on here that their higher ups know about. They've sent me both replacements without even verifying my receipt info. Just my phone number. I love using this watch  but it's been a horrible experience with these issues so far.
