Fitbit Versa won’t turn on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This morning my versa said 0% battery, I thought this was odd as I hadn’t had the usual email saying that battery was low. I immediately put it on charge, the screen went blank and I haven’t been able to turn it on since. I left it on charge for 2.5hrs this morning, when it wouldn’t turn on I tried holding down the left and bottom right buttons a number of times (as described on forums) with no avail. I plugged it into computer to charge for another 3hrs, nothing. Tried the 2 buttons again, nothing. Tried resetting using all 3 buttons, nothing. This was only bought in October last year and has been treated well, very frustrating that such an expensive bit of kit is failing!

@Ellie78 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the display won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try cleaning the contacts of your Versa and charging cable with a cotton swab in order to remove any dust that the contacts accumulate. After this, try charging your Versa through another USB port of your computer and see if it comes back to life.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

I also bought a versa in November 2018 and it just stopped working last week. I have tried cleaning it with a toothbrush and left it charging for a week and nothing happened. when i pressed on the buttons together on the side of the versa only green and blue light is shown for a few second and then the lights fade away.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I have now tried cleaning and charging from another computer port, unfortunately it has not made any difference. Still not working.

Yep...the same happened to me.I hope you are going to get better luck than me with their customer service.I belive that it is a well known defect with the device but totally ignored by Fitbit.

It has been over a week since my Fitbit failed, I have tried everything you have suggested and still it doesn’t work. Feeling very frustrated with the slow response.  This was not cheap, it has been treated properly and it should be working. 😡
