Fitbit app can’t find my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I go to sync my versa on my iPhone XR it constantly states the device not found. I find myself constantly restarting my Versa and iPhone numerous times to get it to find my device and sync it. Any chance of a fix for this. I have the versa special edition.

@DennisPB welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not connecting with your phone. By the way, thank you for restarting your watch before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains the restart process but you can skip it and proceed with the rest. Finally, monitor your watch and see if it connects with your phone properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I am restarting my Versa daily to get it to sync with the Fitbit app on my iPhone XR. If I try and change my clock face, I not only have to restart the Versa, but I have to turn off the iPhone and power it back up. Never had this problem with my Fitbit Blaze.

Hi! I am having this same problem. My Versa 2 will not sync with my phone and the help article linked does not actually give any step-by -step instruction on what to try. When I click on "How do Fitbit devices sync their data?", I get a longer article that still doesn't give any step-by-step "Try this" suggestions.

I have restarted my phone, force stopped the FitBit app, ensured that my app is up to date, disconnected and reconnected Bluetooth.  Still no sync.
Any other concrete suggestions I might try beyond that list?

After you check and see if you have the updated version of the app and Bluetooth is on, you need to restart your versa by pressing the left and bottom right buttons until you see the Fitbit logo. I still have to restart my versa occasionally to get it to sync with the app.

My Versa 2 can not be located as a device for my Bluetooth. When it scans for devices it does not see it. I have force-stopped app, rebooted phone and Versa multiple time. I have removed the device and repaired and went through the new startup gain. Still nothing. My steps are syncing to the app, but I do not get any notifications on the Versa.

You return it and try another Fitness tracker. I took mine back. I got
tired of dealing with Fitbit wonkiness.

Completely agree.  Versa 2 is a complete waste.  Fitbit replaced my 1st versa 2 because it would not connect at all.  Now the replacement is starting to have the same issues.  Worked for about 2 weeks and then completely stopped syncing and showing notifications consistently.  The GPS connectivity is a joke.   I spend more time restarting my phone and watch to get it to work.  So not worth the trouble.  A waste of money.

I upgraded last week to the Fitbit Versa 2 and now the app won't even connect. It hasn't updated in two days. Now my time is 10mins behind . I have had my Charger 3 for almost 2years and never had a problem with connecting. NOW, I can't do anything...I literally am about to be on my way to Best Buy to get my money back if it doesn't connect soon.

Everything seems to be working fine with my Versa. Only had to power off and one several times but it works. The only thing I don’t like is the track only while using app doesn’t work

I have the versa not the versa 2.

fitbit devices are complete junk when it comes to pairing. getting it to work is generally an all day affair until the next time it loses connection.

agree. fitbit connections are complete crap. always cringe when it loses connections because I know I will be spending hours trying to get it addressed. no other issues with the dozens of other bluetooth devices I have. avoid this company at all costs.

Ahhhhh, what type of **ahem**ic answer is this.  The person already said their doing the recommended things. WE SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS with our VERY EXPENSIVE Fitbit products.  Like it was said, fix your **ahem** equipment. Like now, my bluetooth is on, my dongles are in place, and yet the stupid app can't see my tracker. What's up with that???
