Fitbit versa battery notification

I opened my email today and got a low battery notification from my versa. Instead of seeing it on the email, should it be better to be on the android device notification or even on the versa itself, it would have a battery notification? Or there is already an option to set the versa up to get that notification? I just got my versa for less than a week now and have to explore all the settings.

The Versa will inform you. It says in the manual:

 

"If your battery is low (less than 24 hours remaining), Versa alerts you with the red
battery indicator. If your battery is critically low (less than 4 hours remaining), the
red battery indicator flashes."

These are shown on the main clock screen rather than on the Home page when you scroll up. This is also more accurate than the email as the app / servers only know the battery level as it was when it last synced so could be out of date.
