Fitbit versa screen keeps going blank

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The screen of my Fitbit versa keeps going completely blank, I've connected it to the charger and it lit up but it's now blank again. It was charged over night on Friday so it's not the battery, although I did notice that it lost over 30% in power in 24hours. I'm trying to find a way to contact Fitbit via email or live chat but that's not working either. Does anyone know what's happening with my versa, it's not just my fitness tracker it's my alarm clock too, so I need it sorting a.s.a.p. I've tried holding down all the buttons to reset too but absolutely nothing happens and it won't sync with the app either.

I have just had a live chat with a customer support agent from Fitbit, Andres, I am now getting a replacement watch. I had to do a Google search for how to contact Fitbit though as it wasn't working when I clicked via the app. My current versa is still dead though so I'm without it until my replacement arrives. Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

This is really odd. Seems to be a bunch of us with the same exact problem. I’ve had this happen with my Alta too, and they had to send me a new one. Then that one did the same and they only gave me a 25% off to buy another product. Bought the Versa 2 about a year and a half ago. Here we go again 🙁

Mines done this too!! It was working at 0900 this morning and I just checked it at 1030 and it’s not now!! It’s only just a year old so shouldn’t break already!!

Get in touch with them, I was offered a free replacement of the same Fitbit or 50% off a different one. My screen works if its connected to the charger but as soon as I take it off it's dead. Seems to be a lot of people having the same issue at the moment, I wonder if its something to do with the clocks changing, just seems very strange. Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

Yep, I've tried that multiple times, but nothing happens. The only time it seems to come to life is when I connect it to the charger but you can't wear a watch that's attached to a charger! It's also stuck on 9.05am last time I looked even though it's not been working since about 7.30 this morning. Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

Just having the same issue now. Do you think it's a ploy as they have the versa 3 out now?

Awful brand if this is the case

Who knows lol. I was offered a free replacement of the same model that’s broken or 50% off any other, obviously I took the free offer, they’re not cheap even with 50% off. I would hope that Fitbit wouldn’t do that just get more sales. I have had Fitbits for about 6 years now and have actually received 2 free replacements prior to this as I was still in warranty. It’s good that they offer a 2year warranty with their watches and free replacements.

God knows just got off the helpline with no idea what's going to be offered - I've got to wait for an email!

I'm not to sure about warranty as mine was gifted to me. Just so strange that there's a few cases all the same - smells a bit fishy .....

Wish me luck!

The same happened to me and ended up with not even a flicker. Had a online chat with fitbit which they got me to try a few options. Ended up with being sent a replacement. Hadn't realised until I got the replacement how the screen had been slowly getting worse for some time.

How old was your Fitbit?

I bought it from Argos on 30/12/2018 so just under 2years, if it had been over the 2 years I would have had to buy another.
