Fitbit versa will not connect during workout

Whenever I start a bike workout or a hike or something the Fitbit doesent connect. I received this Fitbit in December 2019 brand new. Please help me because it’s very frustrating that it will not track any of my workouts. It’s pointless basically

Hi @Aconsalazio3 it doesnt connect to what phone? Does it connect if you have the Fitbit App open?

I have the iPhone X and no it doesn’t even connect with the app open
