Floors accuracy

I've had an issue with my Versa since the last firmware update where on about 1/3 of the days the flight data is over-reported by at least a factor of 10.  For instance, my wife and I walked a normal path today, side by side, and she was credited for 15 floors which is correct.  I got 142 floors.

This needs to be corrected, the device is really of no use.  I realize that floors are determined by changes in barometric pressure and that weather can have SOME effect, but this is ridiculous.

Thank you.

Welcome to the Community Forums @scott.lincoln, thanks for your post. Sorry for the delay in responding.

I appreciate the information that was shared in your post, totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and if you experience this situation every day after the last firmware update? Just as you mentioned in your post, your device uses changes in barometric pressure to detect elevation change, and therefore requires that you physically change elevation in order to properly record floors but certainly your device isn't counting floors accurately.

That said, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Versa following the next steps:

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted.
