Hi there @Fjflores585, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for letting us know you found a Fitbit Versa.

At this time, we have no way of reuniting the tracker with its owner. If any customers reach out about a lost tracker, we'll do our best to assist them.

If you found your lost tracker near a local business, you may wish to submit it to their lost and found. Otherwise, we suggest recycling this Fitbit at a local electronics recycling facility.

Thank you again for reaching out. We very much appreciate it.

Thank you for reaching out to me.

The device was tossed in the bed of my truck which was parked in front of
my house. I suspect someone stole it and tossed it there when they
couldn't get it to work (it was locked by the user).

I am surprised that the owner didn't try to 'track' the device -these
things have locators I believe.

I have kept the unit charged up so the owner can 'find' it but no one has
come to the house yet.

I guess I'll throw it in the trash if no one comes by within a week. Being
locked makes it a useless brick.

Again, thanks for reaching out.

The devices do not, as far as I know, have trackers. There are bluetooth trackers available for phones to track devices paired to them, but you are only talking about a 100 foot radius to which the device will be found in. The owner would have to get real lucky.

Doesn't your local police/fire department or city hall have a lost and found? If, as you suspect, the device was stolen, it is possible there is a police report.

No matter what, credit must be given to you for even making the effort you already have.

Good luck and welcome to the boards.
