I have a new fitbit versa 3 - less than a week. I have tried rebooting several times and changing the clock face to the one it came with - Issues are with freezing screen or no response:
- when I put it in sleep mode it goes black and I can't get it to come back - would like to see the time at night - even if i try to swipe or press the button, nothing.
- The alarm still works on sleep mode, but even then when I try to hit the stop button, nothing happens - it just keeps vibrating
- start exercise - can't stop it once it starts - had to put on charger to reboot to stop it
AAAAHH!

Hi @Aussie58 - most of your points were already covered in your other post.
I would recommend practising with the button.
Raise your wrist to look at the watch so the screen comes on, then press the button so it goes off. Press it again and it will come on again.
The action is squeezing the watch between first finger and thumb so the fleshy part of the thumb makes contact with the button area, you will feel it vibrate too if successful.
Once you have mastered this it should work normally.
Sleep mode dims the watch and stops wrist wake.
During sleep a double tap will wake the watch to see the time but may annoy the neighbors! A mastered button squeeze will do.
In the case there is a problem, swipe the watch face to the left to get to the Settings icon, tap and scroll to the bottom and do Shutdown.
Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.
My father used to say it's newness, it will wear off!

Thank you so much Guy. All this advice worked - I had a bit of trouble getting the double click right to stop the swim, still had some extra minutes in there, but all the rest worked out. I don't know if I missed something, but there didn't seem to be clear instructions in the setup about how to use the button. Anyway, you nailed it, thankyou. I will keep practicing!
