Hi there,
Apologies if this has been answered before.
I'm having some issues with my lovely new Versa, and I'm disappointed as they seem like basic issues.
1) My Versa is randomly adding steps while I sleep, drive, sit on the couch - I have seen people complain about the driving piece, and I am not downloading an additional app for when I'm driving, if my step counter on my phone in my pocket can manage to not count steps then where is my Versa getting an additional 1,000 steps from when I'm on a motorway? 😳
2) It takes at least 4 hours for my sleep data to be reflected on my phone in detail. The app will show the block of sleep as one uniform block of time asleep until almost lunchtime, and only then will the finer detail come through. After two nights of the same situation, it's getting a bit silly. Sleep is also not separated out on the third "sleep stage" data slide, it's showing as one solid 'no stages' block, despite waking and restlessness being recorded on the "this week" half of the screen.
I had a Jawbone Up a few years ago and the information was far more rapidly available, accurate and reliable. I am so tempted to return my Versa and go back to basics.

Hi, regarding the steps while driving, etc is a known problem. If you're going to drive, make this as an exercise called "Mountainbike". You will find that by pressing in the dashboard of you Fitbit app by pressing the account icon on the top of the screen on the right side. Scroll down to Exercises and enable this.
Regarding the sleep data, the Versa needs at least 3 to 4 hours of sleep, using also and based on your resting HR, to get a detailed Sleep log. If the Versa does not monitor that, you will get a Sleep log anyway but not detailed into several stages during your sleep.

Thanks @SunsetRunner but this doesn't help. My Versa is counting steps while I sleep and watch TV or read a book too, so it's not fit for purpose.
Also, the issue with sleep tracking is not that it doesn't do it at all, it tracks my sleep but takes almost half a day for the finer detail to show. If it can track that I've slept, why is it taking 4+ hours to break out periods of wakefulness, restlessness etc. and why is everything being classified as "no stages"?
The Versa isn't an expensive piece of equipment but if something a quarter of the price can do a better job more efficiently then why am I wasting my time?
