GPS Tracking During Running

I had my phone with me whilst doing a run. This route should be 3mile approx. I also went for a walk on same route and added a bit to my run, which normally totals 3.5mile approx. However my fitbit shows both at approx 2.95mile. GPS was activated via bluetooth both times. Anyone else experience issues with distances on runs?

Its big known problem that doesn't look like its getting fixed any time soon i'm afraid. There's a big thread here:
