The last few weeks my fitbit connects to gps but after 1 min it drops the connection.
I thought it might be the fitbit, but I have since bought a versa 2 and I have the same issues.
I have re installed the app, reset watch and checked connection settings are correct. It's really frustrating.
Same thing is happening to me. Not had a problem for months but this week, my Versa won’t connect to GPS. Occasionally if I faff about with my device and phone (restart, force close app, disconnect Bluetooth/reconnect Bluetooth) I can get it to connect but it’ll always drop while I’m on my run.
I also bought a versa 2 recently and it haven't either been able to track my runs properly yet 😞 it says connected but the maps I end up getting are straight lines that are way off 😕 I can run around the block in a square shape and still just get a line straight through it.
Mine/missus are doing the exact same. Start an exercise on the watch, gps shows connected but then immediately drops off.
Been working for months without any issues and now cannot get it to work whatsoever
I just read that the issue could be that the GPS signal is lost when the phone screen turns off? But idk if that's really the issue 🤷🏼:female_sign: running with the screen on in my pocket sounds like an accident waiting to happen
Best Answer@Jannicaha That would only be the case if your Fitbit location settings are set to “while using the app” rather than “always”. Providing permission is granted for Fitbit to use your location always, it shouldn’t matter if the screen is on or the app is running in the foreground.
Best AnswerI have it on always and have made sure to keep WiFi and any power saving modes of, so I don't know what the issue is 😕
Best Answer@Jannicaha I’m exactly in the same boat as you then. It’s gone from working fine to not working at all which is frustrating. What network are you on out of curiosity? I’m on Three, perhaps it’s the network?
Best Answer@Jannicaha Carrier. It must mean you’re not from England then so therefore my question doesn’t matter 🙂
