I was a fun experiment. I tried. I'm a techie, I get new products can be buggy and we are after all, just beta testers these days...BUT...
I started with Apple 3...I ordered the cellular one, but they sent me the wrong one...I returned and they sent me the correct one...vendor issues...anyway, but I did get to do a hands-on evaluation and a little "field testing" for a week with each watch...I ultimately returned it, and went with the Versa...because the spec-per-price value looked promising. The reason I ditched Apple was a) battery life.. b) lack of watch faces and c) no native sleep tracker, (and battery life would get eaten up using that feature) so, ya...fitbit won. I DID like the speed, polished and jitter-free interface and strap ease/selection.
Fast forward to after my warranty expired...of course..and now my Versa has become unreliable.
It has taken to being unresponsive, even with a full charge, several reboots every which way fitbit support suggests. "did you reboot? restart? change clock faces?" etc ad nauseum ad infinitum..yes yes yes, over and over. Notifications (vibrations) *yes, they are turned on* work sometimes...not good. Now sometimes it wakes up when I roll over in bed, and it flashes on at 3:00 AM in my sleeping wifes face....impressive...and sometimes it just dies, and the only way back from the dead is to put it back on the charger, and mess about yet again with buttons and the app on my phone. Enough. I am a patient man, but also need things to work. I don't need excuses. Add no tap-to-pay "new banks are being added" right? Just not MY bank..one of the largest in North America..TD Canada Trust. "working on it" does not fly in 2019.
It also thinks I'm walking when riding my motorcycle...impressive (the Apple did not) sooooo
I ordered my new Apple 4 yesterday. Bigger screen, faster CPU, better clock selection and...the fatal flaw that made me switch to fitbit...the one day charge issue. Apple claims...a 15 hr charge life, but real life reports are showing over 5 days with normal use. Heavey useage with the LTE model does gobble up battery life, but my phone ALWAYS is with me, so that model was left off the list...besides my Apple 3 LTE was not the best at connecting and keeping connected, so ya...phone.
Anyway, that is the reason I'm bailing...sorry fitbit, but IMHO, you rolled it out too soon, too buggy, DEV QC issues, odd and awkward watch-band system, and all the aforementioned stuff.
All in all, not a BAD watch, and maybe I'm too picky, or my expectations were too high for that price point, but I was hoping he whole experience...software/apps interface would weigh against the "niggles" but alas, this has gone beyond niggles, so I must, by my nature, bid adieu.
You tried it died, I'm outta here. Best of luck in the future! Maybe I'll be back again

I am done too. 2 month old Versa, just stopped Syncing. Support treats me like a F*****ing child 28 years in IT with Degree in EE. I know how to follow instructions and work technology! Unacceptable. I have been a customer for years but I will never will buy a Fitbit product again.
