Unable to attach Versa Band

Purchased the versa with rose gold face (peach band).  It came with a black band, which I wanted to put on since it is more neutral.  My husband and I could not get one side of the band on.  I got another fitbit black band and still can't get one side on.  I have read the directions and watched several videos...still can't get it.  Very frustrating design.  Any tips?

I understand how you feel. Could you please confirm that you have followed the instructions of help article How do I change the wristband on my Fitbit device?

 

What happens exactly with the band?

Yes, I followed those instructions to attach/detach the band in the help
section. I also watched that video. I now have two black bands that won't
attach to the watch and it is the same side of the band on both of them.
The pin will NOT click into place. The peach/coral band will go on and
off, but the black bands will not.
