Google Wallet - Fitbit Versa 2

Been waiting months now for Google Wallet to work on my Versa 2.  I never used Fitbit Pay as I'm in the UK and my bank (HSBC) wasn't on the list for it.

My cards are saved in my Google Wallet on my phone, and when I try to add them to my Fitbit's Google wallet, I get "Something went wrong. Try again later".

I bank with HSBC and use my cards fine for NFC payments with my phone.

I have tried removing the cards completely from my Google wallet and setting them up again. I have tried removing my fitbit from my app and re-setting it up.  I have tried completely resetting my fitbit. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing has worked.

Interestingly, the Wallet logo on my watch is still the old green one, but it has changed in the app to the multicolour Google wallet logo. I have checked that my watch has the latest firmware, and it would seem to be up to date (35.72.1.23), although this update looks to have been released late 2022.

My app is also up to date.

I don't know what else I can check/do?!

I have the same problem, and I believed the Versa 2 firmware need to be updated in order to respond to Fitbit App’s request. Unfortunately, Versa 2 was already aged old device that I don’t think Google team put too uch effor on it.
