HR Monitor Not Working - No DIY worked Versa 2

The other day, my FitBit Versa 2 stopped recording my heart rate, and I have been unable to track sleep or exercise. From what I have seen, multiple people started havig this issue in the past few days, so it is just not me, it seems to be a more global issue.

 

I tried all of the troubleshooting both using the forums and DIY, as well as chatting with support. They had me factory reset my Versa, and now it will not connect to my phone bluetooth at all. Chat walked me through resetting and restarting my phone and the FitBit app, and it still won't connect. My Versa was connected before the customer service had me factory reset.

 

Since I could not get it to connect, customer service informed me that my watch was out of warranty, and gave me a discount of 25% to get a new one.

 

MY FITBIT WAS PAIRED WITH MY PHONE BEFORE SUPPORT TOLD ME TO FACTORY RESET-JUST THE HR MONITOR WAS NOT WORKING.

 

Now my watch won't pair at all, and I refuse to buy a new one, as now my problem is worse than before. I tried to go back into the chat, and I get an error message.

 

I am really frustrated and should not have to buy a new watch because screwed it up.

the same thing has happened to my Versa 2.  It will not track Heart Rate, and therefore nothing else is recorded correctly
