Heart rate accuracy concern after update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the update to version 70.7.14, it seems that the heart rate is measuring at abnormal levels.
My resting heart rate measures between 125 and 135, while walking to the kitchen has it measuring up to 175.

Due to the irregular measuring if the heart rate, my sleep stages don’t measure as it tells me that it was unable to get readings due to being unable to read the heart rate.
before the update I had no problems and was quite happy with my Versa.

and yes, I have flashing green lights on the back.

I have turned my Versa off and on multiple times.

I have reset the wi fi

I have turned blue tooth off and on again, several times

I deleted the app and reinsralled

I have completed a factory reset of my Versa.

I searched all the forums and have tried every fix that has been suggested.

When I bought it, I took out extended warranty...so Fitbit, what are you going to do about this....

Either fix the software or send me a new Versa, that actually works properly

Forgot to mention that the battery drains in 2 days where before it lasted 5 or 6 days.

Yesterday, my heart rate monitor (bpm) stopped displaying any numbers. I think I'm still alive but Fitbit doesn't think so. Please fix the dropped bpm so I can breathe again!!  (My Fitbit is brand new. Is this a faulty update?)

Hello @Relly61 and @jacquie333, welcome to the Community Forums! It's a pleasure to assist you today.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I suggest you to check and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified in our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Even though your device is in fact tracking heart rate information, the steps from such article should resolve your accuracy concern.

The battery of your device should work as the way it was designed with the steps above, otherwise, please contact me back so we can move forward with this.

Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have, I'll be waiting for your reply.

I’ve had similar problems, about two nights ago my heart eater monitor stopped working and it didn’t record my sleep.  Now I’ve noticed that my heart rate is showing at high rates and it’s also draining my battery.  I had similar problems with my previous Versa and it was replaced in June of this year and it’s doing it again.

So I have done all these steps and nothing has changed.  Please don’t suggest factory reset as I have already tried this.
I did not have a problem with my Versa until the latest update.

And now this morning it is failing to sync.  Honestly, I shouldn’t have to forget the device and reinstall it every day to get it to sync.  This is ridiculous.  Fix the **ahem** software to make it work like it should

I have exactly the same problems and I do not know what else to do. I don't have any warranty but It has been only three months that I purched my Versa. I hope, Fitbit will fix this issue as soon as possible.

I have tried all steps recommended in the article and the heart rate monitoring and battery life is not fixed. The battery life is now down to one day

I have tried all steps suggested in the forums that I could find.

I believe the problems are firmly rooted in the last update to the firmware.

My Fitbit is 18 months old and worked perfectly until the last update.

fitbit need to fix this, I wouldn’t recommend this brand to anyone at the moment, and I certainly wouldn’t buy a new one

Since the last update my heart rate monitor is recording rates between 170 to 220 bpm !!!! Last night in my sleep I reached 178 ! Same strap ! Same usual place of wearing , app up to date , cleaned led strip , have done restart. Please don’t patronise us and tell us to follow the link and follow steps we’ve already done . This has happened since last firmware update , oh and I no longer receive  notifications On the Fitbit watch , running IPhone XR

This is getting very frustrating...what I find most frustrating is the silence from Fitbit.  This is a well-known issue, but no fixes appear.  Fitbit has the ability to bring out updates that stuff up the working of Fitbit, why don’t they have the ability to go back in and reverse these changes?  If Fitbit hope that by holding out on doing anything people like me will buy a newer version of Fitbit, they are sadly mistaken.

Fix the problems!

And now this morning, there is no heart beat registering at all...and it appears no flashing lights on the back

And this morning it has died completely and will not recharge at all. What a croc!  This is such a well known problem yet they have the audacity to release new products.  The chances of me buying another Fitbit product is between Buckley’s and none.  I don’t pay over A$300 to have something last 18 months.  I will go either Garmin or Apple.

Fitbit, you can stick your products where the sun doesn’t shine!

I also did this update and it completely ruined my HR tracking. To be sure, I wore my chest strap and different watch on my other wrist today. And yes, I did all of the above noted steps. Can I uninstall this update and revert back to the old software? Otherwise there is no point in having this watch. Did an hour workout with heavy weights, was working hard, breathing hard, could feel my HR was up and my Fitbit says I was below zones for 48 minutes and only in fat burn for 12. My other watch says I was in moderate and peak HR zones the whole time.

The fit bit continued heart rate continued to act bizarrely for a couple of months , nothing was done by fit bit to my knowledge ,I was actually going to bin it and buy an Apple Watch as I was so fed up with it , then following an app update the heart rate monitor started suddenly started working correctly, in my opinion fit bit new about the problem but never admitted it , then did resolved the problem with an update

My issue is with the most recent update. I think I did it a couple weeks ago. Not sure when it was available. But it is version 71.6.19 and it completely sewered my watch. All the stats are messed up and I wish I didn’t fork out the money for a product that doesn’t work and support staff that doesn’t answer questions regarding their product.
