I recently replaced my Versa 1 which died with the special edition Versa which comes with a black/grey synthetic woven strap. Every day I go for a run along the same route and I noticed with the woven band, my heart rate peaks at 20-30bpm higher than when I used the standard silicon strap.
A few weeks later, the woven strap started making an irritating clicking noise every time I moved my wrist. I think it’s where the strap rubs against the pins or something. Anyway I replaced it with my original black silicon strap and I noticed my peak heart rate is 20-30bpm lower again.
I always tighten the strap and move it up my wrist slightly before running but how on earth can a different strap have such a drastic discrepancy with tracking heart rates?

Was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone could help me get to the bottom of this?
