Heart rate monitor stopped working

Honestly I am finding the versa to be very disappointing.  When I exercise and sweat, the heart rate monitor stops working. The first time was in March after having it for 3months.I contacted Tech support and tried everything, and they had to send me a new pebble. Same thing has happened again and I've tried everything from pressing  bottom right button and back  button, restarted, and even shutdown. For a device that's supposed to be waterproof, I'm disappointed .

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @MattyMuk

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the heart rate monitor on your Fitbit Versa. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. I understand that you've been in touch with Customer Support previously and received a replacement. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and would like to confirm if you see your heart rate when you're not exercising?

I recommend trying the complete troubleshooting tips if your Versa doesn’t show your heart rate: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device?

Please keep me posted.

Hie there,

As long as it gets wet, my heartrate monitor stops. I have to take it off
and wipe it off. This, offcourse, is something I dont want to keep doing
while exercising. I have done all the complete steps recommended under
troubleshooting but this keeps happening .

Hi @MattyMuk, thank you for your reply.

Thank you for providing the additional details. I appreciate your time and efforts trying to resolve the issue. I recommend trying to wear the device higher on your wrist. The band should be slightly tighter than usual but not very tight to not restricts blood flow. Try relaxing your wrist and staying still briefly (about 10 seconds), after which you should see the heart-rate reading. Note that your device will still provide accurate calorie burn readings by analyzing your heart rate trends over the course of your activity.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
