Historical User Data

Hello Forum,

Is it possible to reset ALL user data for ME?

I had a Fitbit Versa up to last September then it broke and I decided I'd wait until the Versa 2 came out.  I want to be able to start again as if I'm a brand new user.  The device is setting goals [I believe] that start from where I left off.  IMO - I think it's like going to the gym and then not going for 6 months, then trying to continue from where you left off exercise wise.

What I'm asking might not be possible but I really hope it is!

Thank you ALL in advance - best - Dan 🙂

The only way to reset all data is to create a new fitbit account with a different email.

But i don't personally see the reason for that.  If you don't like your goals, you can reset them all, though I don't think any get automatically readjusted to match your activity.

If you want help in setting goals, assuming using phone app, from 'Today' page, tap profile pic at top left to get to 'Account' page, scroll down to Goals: 7-Day Summary; it prepares a quick report and steps you through each goal to help you set it for yourself.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hey JohnnyRow,

Thank you!  As you suggest creating a new fitbit account with a different email isn't something I'd want to have to do.

I've looked at the Today page and the Goals section.  It's a pain in the butt to go through everything, tweaking it back to something like an initial value.  My Versa 2 itself is saying my next goal is to complete 35k steps for my next badge.  I'd love to be able to get all these back to the beginning and start afresh.  Maybe a solution is to delete my Fitbit account and start again - but not really something I would want to do.

Come on Fitbit - there must be an easy solution to this!

Best Dan 🙂

I wasn't considering badges, and I don't think changing goals would affect badges either.
