Close, the heart section, on the app, just below the sleep section shows

1. top number is current rate and should match your devices current rate

2. the bottom number is your resting HR

The exercise section below those, will show the rate of your heart as an average during the workout.

Yes, I know. But if you look at the diagram, and compare it to the exercise section heart rate diagram. They don't match at all. Like during the exercise max heart rate can be 150, and if you look at the heart rate section digram, the max is something like 120. At the same time during the exercise. I don't know if I am clear enough, but I try.

With kind regards,

Totally agree. Highest mine has gone is 22 😕
I would be much happier if your theory is correct. That would mean my
usual 11 is closer to 50..I would be fine with that. I do workout but not
regularly yet..im starting running this weekend actually. I am.50 pounds
overweight but 11? Barf.
Let me know what you find oit!

Ohhhhh I see what you’re saying here… I think I was having a different conversation, my apologies. I was responding to a post that I had thought claimed the HR section was showing an average during activity and the avg RHR.

I don’t have an answer for the other issue at all. I experienced similar things. Sometimes my HR takes off on my write while I’m sitting to like 100-125 BPMs and when I self test I’m closer to 60. Then I start lifting or hitting the bag and the monitor shows 95-100 and I know I’m up closer to 120-130 BPM. The only time I’d say I get strangely accurate results is if I’m using the speed rope and I’m around 150-165 BPM.

Based on my alcoholism resulting in elevate BP the HR problems with the tech has helped create unnecessary anxiety. I mean I’ve lost 45 pounds since November, my RHR dropped from 68 at its highest to 50-53 today, but the HRV never went up above 50 and I get these bizarre spikes in HR that in theory should mean issues with the heart. I e had ECGs with my physician and my hearth is healthy despite me screwing up so long but I still get anxieties over things as Fitbit struggles with accurate measurement.

these devices are both great, I mean I’m not sure I would have stopped the boozing until too late if it wasn’t for the home medical and wearable tech but now that I’ve actively made these changes, it can help kickstart and feed anxieties. There are lots of reasons for Fitbit to do a better job here.

I plan on speaking to my physician soon. I want to see if he can provide me with my ECG HRV from February. I can contrast that with my Fitbit number that same day and if that 30-40 ms difference shows up I’ll let ya know.

Just a question as a fellow elite hrv user. When you get your data if you look at rmssd is it close to what fitbit gives? At least for me it seems fitbits data matches pretty close to that number. If so that may be part of the confusion I will be monitoring mine to see if it at least follows up and down trends with elite hrv

Ok… so March 5th was the day of my EKG…. On that day FItbit told me my HRV was 43. While my physician couldn’t provide a specific figure he did ball park me to high 60s low 70s…

so roughly 20-30ms higher in actuality than what FItbit was calculating in my case… on that day.

I believe that. Had my echo last Friday and am meeting with the doctor June
7th. The tech was specific but said my fitbit numbers may be 30 to 40 off
and that is not during sleep.

Mine says 11-13....Dr says I'm heart healthY though so guess this HRV #is not at all accurate???

Mine continues to facilitate all over the place.  I need a new index that quantitates the variability of my heart rate variability!

Mine says the same, gonna check some other fitness devices that says their
HRV is accurate. Whenever I wake up feeling good my HRV is low and
recommend taking it easy.

Yes, I know. It makes no sense and a cardiologist has told me that the HRV
measurement can vary for so many reasons that can impact your overall
"grade" that it may not reflect your actual heart health Some of my best or
highest HRV values have come after having a few drinks the night before. I
don't place much value in this Stat and also have my doubts with the heart
rate and calorie counts.

Deeply concerning. So many people going to doctor. Fitbit should fix this!

The HRV reading on my Sense is consistently between 11 and 16.  It has been that range for two years I’ve had my Sense.  Also, my blood oxygen reading is consistently about 3% lower than the readings on my pulse oximeter.  I’m in excellent health.  These readings are just wrong.

Very similar to my situation with my charge 4. My Cardiologist is not sure
whats the benefit of this Stat, nor relation to actual heart health. Been
pretty much ignoring these readings and their recommendations.
