How can we stop recording floors?

Both my.husband's charge2 and my versa record all.these floors/stairs...we do NOT climb anything except a couple snake steps a day, nor do we do anything that could be mistaken as such. Np elevation changes...nothing. My Alta HR didn't do this. It just annoys me...and it feels ridiculous when in a silly challenge with friends and a new badge pops up stating I climbed as high as the moon or something equally ridiculous.

Thanks

I'm  sorry there is no way to turn off floors

It more than likely caused what what is in bold below

Floors are counted using an altimeter. An altimeter is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure and atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing elevation, so the it calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your trackers register a floor when they detect continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. Given the fact that 10 feet is an average between residential and commercial floor heights, although commercial floors in particular tend to be higher than residential floors.

It will add floors when it is windy or cold.

@WhitneyHarmon it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I totally understand how you feel about the floors feature.

As my friend @WendyB mentioned, the floors tracking feature cannot be disabled. However, I found this Feature Suggestion board, which requests this feature to have an option to be turned off. Please give your vote to it.

The more votes this request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.

I appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if more questions arise!
