How do I connect google assistant to my Fitbit?

Whenever o try to setup google assistant on my versa 3, I get redirected to the google assistant app on the AppStore and when I click the open button, nothing related to setup, or Fitbit happens.

Maybe I can help. Take these steps:

1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture then tap Versa 3
2. Tap Voice Assistant > Google Assistant>Activate Google Assistant. If you don’t have the Google Assistant app on your phone, you’re prompted to install it.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create or log in to your Google account, and then connect your Google account with Fitbit.
4. After completing all the steps, tap Close to return to the Voice Assistant tile.

I already have the google assistant app installed. It takes me to the app page on the AppStore and nothing happens afterwards, even if i click open.

Oh wait, It worked. I had to click the open button on the safari page (the page that opens and redirects you to the app).
