How do I control music with Versa 2?

Hi.  Just got my Versa 2 today and can't figure out how to get it to control the music on my phone.  When I use the quick setting to go to music, my Versa 2 says to "Pair your phone in your Settings app, under Bluetooth."  My phone is showing as paired to my Versa 2 in it's settings menu.  In the settings menu on the versa 2, I have tried setting Restore Music Controls to ON, OFF, and PAIR.  Non of them have made a difference.  I have unpaired and re-paired my phone.  I have even re-started my Versa 2.  (As a side note, how do I attach pictures to show what my screens look like?)

Music control instructions start on Page 50 of your User Manual.  Attach pictures by clicking on the Camera Icon above your message and follow instructions.

I finally got my Versa 2 to connect but it will not stay connected (although it is currently confusing me by staying connected lol).  For those that may be having the same issue, just an fyi, it wasn't until I connected my phone to a bluetooth speaker that the Versa 2 connected to bluetooth as "Versa 2 (Classic)".  I've included a screenshot of my phon's bluetooth settings so you can see that it is paired to both "Versa 2" and "Versa 2 (Classic).  I have also discovered that I have to be playing the music through the bluetooth speaker, not just the phone's speakers in order for the controls on the Versa 2 to work.

I think you were very close to the solution. To have the music control, you have to your Versa2 -> setting->bluetooth->Restore Music Controls. Set it to Pair. At the same time, go to your android phone->settings->connection->bluetooth and scan for available device. A "Versa2 (Classic)", will show up and you can tap and connect to the Versa2 (Classic). When it shows connected, you are all set with the music control setup.

 

At this moment, on your Versa2, the Restore Music Controls will automatically switch from PAIR to ON. On your phone, you should expect to see Versa2 as Paired (but not connected) and Versa2 (Classic) as connected. Hope this help.
