I have just bought the Versa 3 but I'm annoyed that I cannot prevent it from displaying my notification messages in full for anyone to read. How can this be prevented? It's a major security flaw!!! I want to receive a notification with just the contact's name but not show the full message?

Hi there, @Anomalyvirtual. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand how important is to you to keep your messages safe and private.
Have you verified if the "Preview new messages" option is enable? To do so, open the Message+ app, then go to "Settings", then "Notifications", then "In-app notification settings", then "Preview new messages", try to disable this option and see if you keep receiving the full message on your Versa 3 or just the name of the sender.
In addition, please follow @Guy_'s tips and recommendations.

HI @Anomalyvirtual - by default this is not possible.
The watch will show the first few lines of the phone notification only, and more of the full notification [which is the same as on the phone] but is not the full message.when you click on it. So only a few lines can be seen by default.
There is a workaround if you have an Android phone and that is to use Macrodroid app on the phone.
With it you can intercept the notification and post what ever it is you would like to see in it's place via an easily built macro.
Alternatively you can easily go to quick Settings [swipe watch face to the right] and enable do not disturb and then nothing will display but you won't get a vibrate either.

Hi Guy_,
The screen on my versa 2 recently stopped responding so I upgraded to a versa 4, I have the same question as @Anomalyvirtual in reverse. I prefer to see the message come up straight away on my fitbit but on the versa 4 when the notification first comes in it’s just, for example “1 WhatsApp” and then I have to wait a few seconds for the detail of the message. Do you know how to make it like the versa 2 so it displays the message immediately?
Thanks

Hi @AE001 - that's the illogical way it was designed to work on a Versa 4 or Sense 2.
Please have a look on those forums for others who report the same annoyance.
You can post there if you have a Versa 4 and may see what alternatives were proposed.
If you just got the Versa 4 and are unhappy with the way it works Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy
