Sadly, you can't. And the auto intelligence sorting doesn't always work. I predominantly walk and it NEVER lists Walk in my top 3 choices.

This is unfortunate.  I just started paddleboarding, and I was excited to see that this is an exercise option in the app for my Versa 3.  But that's kind of useless, since I'm not taking my phone on the water with me.  I voted as you suggested, but since that's been a up for over a year, I'm not holding my breath.

@buttercup560   The Versa 3 has an exercise shortcut that is designed for outdoor, non-step based activities (Fitbit lists kayaking as an example).  It is Outdoor Workout.  It has GPS and you certainly can leave your phone in the car.  I recommend it to all users asking about SUP.  It is very misleading on the Exercise Shortcut list.  Fitbit accidentally put the same icon as Interval Workout.

I have had a very different experience than @lookahead with intelligent sorting.  Mine always works.

@buttercup560 I have to agree with @LZeeW in that their isn't any benefit having the phone with you. Yes use Outdoor Workout, this has the option to turn on GPS. As a bonus, after the next sync, you should be able to rename this workout to Paddleboarding.

@lookahead if you are letting the tracker/Fitbit detect your walk, the exercises will not auto sort. If you use the manual walk mode on the tracker, the exercise list should sort.

Sorry @jyovonie we have no direct control on this list.

I haven't found a way to rename my Outdoor Workout from yesterday to Paddleboarding.  Any idea how I can do this?

@buttercup560   When I try to recategorize an Outdoor Workout on the iOS app, I get a list of useless exercises.  I reported this to Fitbit.  This is very different from the “normal” Workout choice that gives a very extensive list and a search option.

Fitbit needs to address this issue.

Another difference, while at one time I was able to edit the exercise type of both workout and outdoor workout, on Android, I'm now only able to edit workout and auto detected exercises. Sorry
