Hi,

Brought a versa 2 for my elderly Mum as she trying to stay active and she has locked the device and then removed the app from her phone. Now I just keep getting the message to reset from phone, but when I try to reinstall tracker it gives me the 4 boxes for the Bluetooth code on the versa 2  nothing. I have tried holding the button on versa 2 for 10 seconds, but it still tells me to unlock with your phone. Any suggestions please.

Hi there, @Hibbo. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your mom's Versa 2.

Since you're unable to unlock the watch using your phone, please follow the next steps to perform a factory reset on your device:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

@Hibbo   I apologize if I misread what you wrote.  If all she did was delete the app, then her Versa 2 should still be on her account.  When you tap on her profile picture, is it still on her account?  If it is still there, then there is no reason to set it up again.  Please read this Help article: How do I use the device lock on my Fitbit device?   It describes how to unlock it with your phone.  If this works, please disable her device lock.  It is only necessary if she uses Fitbit Pay.

If her Fitbit is gone from her account, then I think you should contact Support for more help.
