How does Fitbit Pay work on Versa 2?

I have just started using the digital wallet on my Versa 2. It seems the only way to turn it off between purchases is to hold the button in for 10 secs, or actually take the watch off. Is this correct?

@KarenMS1 What you mean by turning it off between payments?

Note that to help keep your Fitbit device secure, turn on the device lock in the Fitbit app. You'll be prompted to enter a personal 4-digit PIN code to unlock your device. If you set up Fitbit Pay, the device lock is turned on automatically and you’re prompted to set a code.

Hi there, @KarenMS1. Welcome to the Community Forums.

To make a payment with Fitbit Pay, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Fitbit Pay screen on your device:
    • If you chose Fitbit Pay as your button shortcut, hold the button on your watch for 2 seconds to activate it. Otherwise, swipe down from the top of your screen. After your notifications appear, swipe down again to open the control center. Tap the Fitbit Pay icon.
  2. If prompted, enter your 4-digit device PIN code. Your default card appears on the screen.
  3. To pay with your default card, hold your wrist near the payment terminal. To pay with a different card:
    • Swipe up to find the card you want to use, and then hold your wrist near the payment terminal.

When the payment succeeds, your device vibrates and you’ll see a confirmation on the screen.

If the payment terminal doesn’t recognize Fitbit Pay, make sure the device face is near the reader and that the cashier knows you’re using a contactless payment.

Hope that helps.
