How does MobileTrack and Versa work together?

I have purchased a Versa and was wondering how the mobile track and the versa work together. What happens if I have my IPhone in my pocket and the Versa on my wrist, does it count two sets of steps?

Mobile track uses GPS to track your activity and records distance and time. If you wear your Versa or have it on you it will merge the step and heart rate (no HR if it is in your pocket) data from the Versa and the phone to create one exercise log.
