I am considering getting a Versa. I would like to use it for tracking my swim laps & I see it also has music. How well does this track swim? Will I be able to use the music when I am doing laps or should I just get an MP3 player instead. Any help is appreciated. Thanks all!

Won't help with music while swimming because it transmits music to earphones via bluetooth. Bluetooth does not transmit through water. I haven't seen a good way to get this, though I have seen some claims. The big problem is making them waterproof while having open slots for SD card storage or cable connection.

Hi @cmj1210
As @JohnnyRow says it shouldnt work for music while swimming, though I have also seen the occasional report of it working.
As far as tracking swimming goes, I find it fantastic. I use the exercise shorcut, tho it does auto detect well, but for me anyway is not spot on with the time when I get out of the pool. It often records my shower as part of the swim. But using the exercise shorcut for swimming it is excellent. I find the lap count very good, and it has improved to nearly perfect now I have worked out how to communicate the end of a lap to it well.
