Inconsistent Heart Rate/Calories During Workout

Hello, I updated my Fitbit to the latest firmware and saw my calories burned during my workout nearly halved. I didn’t change my usual rest times and intensity level, yet, in my hour and a half weight session, I burned barely half the amount of calories before the update. I know that the update improved the accuracy of monitoring but this seems like too much of a change.

In addition, when checking my heart rate during my workout it fluctuates greatly. I may check it and it will be 120bpm and then 2 seconds later it will be 65. I’ve tried tightening, loosening and changing the position of my Fitbit over the past couple days to no avail.

If anyone else has experienced this and has a solution it would be greatly appreciated. Or if there is a way to revert my Fitbit back to the previous version that would be great.

Thanks

I have encountered the same problem and have tried tightening, slackening, moving the wrist band but all to no avail.

This new update has KILLED my workouts.  My heart rate is tracking at 70-77 and my active minutes are now around 30 for a 90 minute workout.  Everything was working fine until this new update last week.  Wtf is going on.   Fix your **ahem** updates cause you guys are killing our numbers.  Wtf did you change anything when it was working fine for months.  This new update has me so pissed off cause my active minutes went from 800 a week to only 430 this week.  Intensity and volume has not changed, only the **ahem** heart rate tracking.  I'm not the only one going through this as most of the forums are complaining about the same thing. Roll back this **ahem** update

There doesn’t seem to be any movement from Fitbit on this. I’m seriously considering switching to Garmin after 8 years with Fitbit.
