I totally understand the calorie count is recorded on the basis of BMR, But just for your information my versa 2 was on charging and after midnight it records new data and when I unplugged it from the dock it showed me 25 steps taken and 900 calories burnt.
Guys this calorie isn't accurate for a user like me, Please note I wasn't wearing the tracker when this data was recorded.
Awaiting your reply!

Depending on your profile settings for age, height and weight that could be explained by your BMR calories. As they are calculated purely from your profile settings (and do not take into account your heart rate or steps) then you get them even when not wearing the fitbit.
Why don't you do a google search for BMR calculator and use one of those to see if your fitbit matches up. If asked, the Fitbit algorithm is Mifflin St Jeor.
If they don't match up then it's worth double checking your profile settings just in case one is set incorrectly.
Can't explain the steps though but wouldn't be too worried over just 25 steps.

Hello Steve,
Thanks for the information, The BMR data matches with ftibit's data. Is there a way I can replace the BMR calories with the actual calorie count.

If you think the BMR is wrong (perhaps due to an unusual metabolism), there's not a lot that can be done about it - it's not possible to override the numbers. The only option would be to amend your profile settings for age, height and/or weight until you get the numbers you think are correct. If you go down this route you may find it easier to experiment in a BMR calculator and when happy make the changes in your profile.
Note though, by amending your profile settings to change your BMR calories, you will also be changing the calculation for your calories from activity / exercise.

Then I suppose BMR is the better option, As changing the personal data is not a genuine solution to it.
Also, could you please let me know if I can keep the wrist setting to dominant will it provide better accuracy for steps than the non-dominant one.

For best accuracy choose the correct wrist setting e.g. dominant if worn on your dominant wrist.

Sorry, I can't help with that one. I see a lot of posts about GPS issues but I don't recall seeing any solutions.
