Syncing difficulties with Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I last synced my Versa on 27 June. Today the clock on the versa was off by half an hour. I tried to sync it to my phone and it's not discoverable.  Rebooted my phone as well as Versa but no luck. It was paired to my phone.  I unpaired it and tried pairing back again but it won't. Uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app and tried re-pairing but it won't. Installed fitbit app on my laptop and tried pairing but it won't. Please help.

Hello @Rohan72, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before to posting, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

Thanks, I've already tried all these steps but the versa isn't getting
detected now.

You're welcome @Rohan72, thanks for your update.

Your effort and patience troubleshooting your Versa with me are appreciated. To further investigate, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using? Since the previous troubleshooting steps didn't resolve this concern, please try the following steps:

  1. Restart your Fitbit.
  2. Please on the phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that exist with the device. (Forget device, ignore or unpair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone).
  3. Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (Switch off and on again).
  4. When the mobile device is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again but do not attempt to connect to the Fitbit from here.
  5. Go on the app and try setting up the Fitbit as a new device.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Thanks

I've already tried this too. I unpaired it and tried setting it up as a new
device. The versa is not getting detected. There is some problem with its
bluetooth probably.

I'm using a One Plus 7 Pro. The versa was syncing till 27 June.

I have tried all the steps suggested and my fitbit versa lite is still not syncing. I have even restored back to factory settings and it is still not syncing. I have tried using my other phones and ipad as well but nothing. There is definitely something wrong with the bluetooth. Please do something because the watch is now useless to me as I cannot set it especially now that it has been reset back to factory settings. I take good care of my watch and it still looks as new like when I first got it 2 years ago.

It seems to be working now after retiring back to factory setting, waiting a while and restarting the watch again. but after that and now it is no longer syncing and I cannot update the tracker. Now I have the old software version on my watch and I cannot update the watch. There is defo a connectivity and software problem. I think after this I will move to apple watch. This is ridiculous and Fitbit cannot even give a solution to the problems. At least Apple has first hand customers service to help with product issues such as this.

I am back to Square one. Watch is not syncing again. I have had enough. I am not able to track my fitness and health for days now. The watch is useless without syncing to the app. It does not even tell the correct time so what is the point. Waste of my money and energy.

I tried a lot of things:

1. Tried pairing from the app and not from the bluetooth menu
2. Checked that the phone software is up to date. Also, checked the list
of compatible phones and One Plus 7 Pro is listed as a compatible device
(also it was pairing till 27 June 2020).
3. Bluetooth setting on the phone is on. Tried transferring a couple of
files from the phone to the laptop just to check if the bluetooth is
working fine and it worked. Turned off the bluetooth and turned it back on
again for pairing it with the Versa.
4. Let the battery of the Versa drain fully and then charged it back.
After it crossed 50%, tried pairing it with the phone via the fitbit app
5. Removed the device from the fitbit app and tried pairing it again.

Nothing is working. I have not been able to set up the Versa through the
fitbit app. The device is basically useless to me now since I cannot pair
it with the phone or the laptop. It isnt even showing the correct time.

I have been advised to buy a new fitbit since my device is not in the warranty period and fitbit does not have any service centers.  It was my 3rd fitbit versa in 23 months (2nd replacement of my original versa).  I will buy a different product which has a better track record in terms of durability and can be repaired.
