Incorrect calories burned

Just this week, my Fitbit Versa has been counting my calories burned incorrectly.  I've seen other answers to similar posts, but they do not answer my question.  I realize that my Fitbit burns calories while resting and sleeping.  However, at the end of a day, whereas my normal calorie burn is 1500 to 1800 on average, it's now showing over 8,000 calories burned.

By the way, the steps taken are still accurate.

Any solutions?

Weight and heart rate are 2 big factors in calorie burn calculation.

Take a look at your heart rate chart to see if it was extra high most of the day.  That wouldn't explain it but could be a clue.

Also check you weight did not accidentally get changed to something much too high.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks so much for the solution.  I had accidentally recorded my weight as 1,418 pounds!!  Once I logged in the correct weight, the calories burned went back to normal.  Such an easy solution.  Thank you again.
