Notification service not running - Is there a fix?

Hello all

 

I have the Versa, and getting very frustrated with the message notifications not coming through.

 

If i open the app on my phone, and go into Notifications, at the top it there is a an error message "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker."

 

This then disappears after a 30 seconds or so, and messages come through, however after a few mins, it all stops and back to square one.

 

My wife has the Versa Lite and she has the same issue.

 

Phone is Huawei p10

 

Any help/advice is appreciated.

Hi @n3treg - My first thought is to ask if you keep the phone is close to you? For notifications to work, the phone must be within approximately 20’ of the Fitbit device. My second thought was to check if your phone is on the list of supported devices. Unfortunately, it is not. Basically, this means that Fitbit has not tested the phone and not all of the Fitbit features may work. Let’s hope someone else in this forum can offer help.
