Incorrect time on device - Syncing issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa is suddenly playing up. It has syncing issues intermittently and for the last two nights is loosing time, which causes an issue with my morning alarm. 45 mins late yesterday so late for work. This morning I woke up at 4.30 checked the time and it's half an hour out and it won't sync. I know the time may be a sync issue but surely without syncing a watch should keep time at least overnight. I've restarted watch and phone and both have the latest version. Heeeeeelp me so I can get up on time!

Hi @Emmav73, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

I appreciate the information that was shared in your post. Let me share with you that our Fitbit devices use your mobile device information to display the time with the syncing process, therefore, by simply syncing your Versa 2 it should display the correct time.

That said, to resolve the syncing difficulties you're lately experiencing, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

Hi Ricardo. I have looked if I needed updates, no, reinstalled app, no, deleted my device from the app and set it up again, no, turned off and on the phone and rebooted my fitbit. All to no avail and today its lost time during the day. Last sync was around 12 and nothing has changed since then and the time has lost half an hour since then. Again this morning it didn't wake me up because the time was wrong this morning. At 4.18 this morning the watch said 3.19. Something is very wrong. 😕

Your reply is appreciated @Emmav73.

Thanks for taking into consideration the information that was shared on my previous post. To further investigate this situation, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using with your Versa 2? When did you experience this situation for the first time? In the meantime I receive your answers, please check: How do I change the time on my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.

Looking forward to your reply.
