Is Fitbit missing the boat on multiple device sales?

Does anyone know WHEN Fitbit is going to make it possible to switch between multiple devices on the same account?  I have been a Fitbit user for about 8 years and have multiple devices, most recently the Versa 3.  I am considering returning it as I wanted to use it and my Versa interchangeably, but it seems I can only have one linked to my account at a time.  It is a pain to have to forget one device and add the other for the day I want to use it.  Is this even being considered?  Seems it would increase the desirability for customers to have multiple devices if it were more convenient for them to sync to the app?

Hi,

The workaround for this is to create a second Fitbit account.

I have my Sense on the main account and my Versa on the second account.

I switch account and back once a week to upload the data from the Versa. It means I have 2 watches all/any of the time.

The Versa can hold about a weeks data, is never synced except once a week, gives good battery life too.

The Sense charges within an hour, once every 5-6 days so you can wear it more or less permanently. All works well.

Thanks Guy.  Yes I thought of doing that, but then each accounts information stays with that account and never consolidates 😞  But if I decide to keep the V3 then I will likely have to do that too.  I am hoping Fitbit will address this though, as it would encourage people to upgrade that still want to also keep their older device. 🙂

Thanks,

You should note the Versa 3 charges so quickly, the loss of information is minimal.

More a question of organising charges, like while you eat a meal. You can practically fully charge your watch in that time, nothing like the older ones which could take several hours.

So consolidating becomes a non issue, whats more interesting is having a second opinion by wearing both.

Yes, when I invested so much in additional fashion wrist bands for my Versa that sadly do not fit the new Versa3 I definitely want to use both!
