I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

Hello! I try to swim for an hour daily, in the early morning. I just got my Versa, and it's joined me for two days. So far, it's been great - you can adjust how it shows stats (laps, distance, time, etc.) and I really like how it tells me how many calories I've burned and how many laps I'm doing (I'm 56 and have major shoulder and elbow issues, so this is important to me.) I remove it to shower after swimming, dry it off, and put it back on after I've lotioned up and am ready to resume my day.

Is it really waterproof? My Versa has stopped working and there is condensation on the sensors.

@BeccaBSwimmer, did you get your versa wet or go swimming? have you tried charging your versa. When you put it on the charger Do you see the charging indicator on your versa? I had a full charge and went to use the starbucks app on my versa, I forgot to close my app and my versa was dead with in a few hours. If you still have your warranty I would contact customer support.

Yes, I swim and do Aqua Fitness. My Versa died while asleep last night and today it won’t turn on and there is water condensation in the sensors.
I have contacted customer support and had a response within hours! Fitbit is sending me a replacement.

The sales guy at best buy said it was good to 100' under water. I saw in literature that it was fine with swimming and shower.

Question. I want to change the band on my Versa with a metal one from Amazon. I am a bit confused. Can I swim with the metal band or do I have to use the plastic one? Understand I have to dry I after etc.

I wear a stainless steel band. I've worn it in the pool and in the ocean and haven't had any problems. I wear this band exclusively, so I believe it's all on what you'd like to wear.

I have wondered the same thing. I’ve had two!!! With my first, showered with it, lasted a week. Second one, swam with it, lasted two laps and died. They claim it’s water resistant up too 50 meters, and that’s depth. I’m just thinking that’s for its life. I don’t think it’s meant for the water at all!
UPDATE:
After I swam with mine, I noticed moisture in the chambers on the back, I am trying the rice.
UPDATE 2:
The water resistant is what sold me on it. I’m thinking there have been more issues than what’s being stated. This is my second one. The first one was ruined by showering with it, that was two weeks after and it was total agony getting it replaced. On my second, which died after two laps, no problems what so ever!!! This is so disheartening.
UPDATE 3:
I have had two die from water contact. First one after a shower, and second one after two laps in a pool.

Awesome thx so much. Don’t plan to shower with it but bought it specifically to swim with. Bad back! I’ve heard many horror stories but really need it to swim. I have a charge 2 I love- but can’t swim with it. Wish me luck!!!
