Is there a need for the SpO2 clock face?

For Premium users, the SpO2 information is shown in the Health Metrics without the need for the SpO2 clock face. Apparently achieved via the SpO2 tracker app in background.

For non Premium users, and for all Ionic, Versa and Sense watches, its become possible to download the free SpO2 clock face to show a single calculated SpO2 reading of the previous night.

Is there an SpO2 tracker app for non Premium users and a way to show the SpO2 information in the Fitbit app, so that we can continue to use our preferred clocks without the troublesome procedure of loading a special and limited watch face?

The current SpO2 clock face only shows ONE SpO2 reading ALL day.

Thanks @MarciM  for confirming the situation so quickly.

Isn't the way it works now destroying the Fitbit reputation somewhat?

By forcing users to abandon their favourite clocks at night in order to get one value in the morning isn't doing the Fitbit reputation any good. Its just annoying for many users.

There will be the people who have trouble finding the SPO2 clock face or loading it.

There will be people who don't know they can have that information.

And others who forget to switch it on or back. Then complain they didn't get a reading when they load it, all very confusing and frustrating for everyone, especially treating the follow up posts on the forum.

As the SpO2 tracker exists and is less complicated to load, why not get users to load that instead to be sure to get the nights data, and show the result in the Fitbit app as a value? Also with the option to turn it off [in the Fitbit app] if the user wants to extend battery life instead?

Even just make the SpO2 tracker load by default for all users. Allow it to be turned on an off in the Fitbit app as a user choice.

That way users can keep their favourite clock faces, still get the SpO2 figure whenever they go in the app and don't have to remember to do something beforehand to get the information. Happier users and support staff all round, especially as it free anyway.

Are you able to promote that to the developers and save us all a lot of problems and make the users happier with Fitbit?

Hi @Guy_

Great questions. I believe for the non Premium users the only way to see the SpO2 is from the clock face. They don't have to have to use the clock face all day, but it does need to be used at night when the SpO2 is tracked and measured.

@Kkp21As stated above by @MarciM , on a Versa you only need it running at night [at the moment]. You can switch to another more useful clock face for daytime use.

You can use the Clocks app on the watch to switch faces but probably a sync must be performed to be sure that the data is fully registered overnight.
