Issues with Versa recording steps while Driving, Typing and Flying.

I can see that many have been already complaining about the Fitbit Versa recording steps when driving. This is highly annoying and I am not sure why something else has not been done other than downloading the TravelBit app or others. I have tried not even wearing the watch while driving and it still records steps. Also, the Versa records steps when you are typing as well. So for me the Versa is pointless because for my job I drive and type a lot. As others have already stated the Versa also records steps while you fly. So at this point are there any solutions to any of the above issues other than turning the watch off or downloading apps. I figured with shelling out over $200 that Fitbit would have already done something to solve these issues. Any help would be appreciated. I have had the watch since last summer and have been hoping that a solution would be produced by now.

@MimiWal Welcome! It's great to see you around!

I will assist you with the steps recorded by your Versa. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. As you mentioned, there are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen when driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.

Let me know how it goes.
