Does anyone else find it strange that after the last update, suddenly several people started posting about their devices dying?

 

How does Fitbit get away with this?

Mine just won't sync now and my stairs are not being counted.

I do find it very odd.  This is the second Fitbit that I’ve had that fails just after an update and just after my warranty is up. I am now looking for a more reliable smart/fitness watch for my next purchase.
