Left side (back) button stopped working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Last weekend my versa blinked randomly and would vibrate, did this until I reset it.  It worked all week without issues.  This weekend, the left side button stopped working.  The left button is not clogged or dirty, it does still press easily.  I can get to my home screen buy clicking the bottom right button.  How can this be fixed?

@Mamapatchrn welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the left button is not working even though you noticed that it's not dirty.

I'd just like to to know if the issue persists or if it got resolved after following the advice that shared @WendyB.

In addition, it may sound weird but are you using a third party clock face? If so, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit. After this, try the button and see if it works.

Keep @WendyB and me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

Thank you for your feedback.

I did clean the contacts with compressed air in the can you use to clean computer keyboards.  This did not resolve the issue.

I have the Fitbitmoji clock face.  I have had theis face for almost 2 months now.  I added it in April.

Welcoming more ideas. Thank you

Hi I’m having the same problem. Did you get yours resolved?

@Lilminx82 thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Since your Versa is also experiencing difficulties with the button, I'd like you to try cleaning the button in order to remove dust around the button using a toothpick.

In addition, I'd like to know if your Versa turns on when you plug it in the charger.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

I had the exact problem my versa is only a year old and has been gently used. Last week screen started jumping around erratically and so I had to shut it down now just a few days ago the left button no longer functions. Now I have no ability to control the music playing on my iPhone while running. This is very frustrating.

@Kinmada thank you for participating in our Fitbit Community! Since the left button is still unable to work, please try using a toothpick around the button in order to remove any dust that may affect the functionality of the button and see if the display turns on after pressing the button.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

@Kinmada I'm sorry to hear that a replacement couldn't be provided since your Versa is not longer under warranty.

I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.
