Lithium Polymer Battery Advice

I stand to be corrected by the bods in Tech Support about any of this, but it seems that the Versa battery is a Lithium Polymer model. Having worked with a lot of Lithium Ion batteries in laptops it made me curious about the life cycle of Li-Po batteries. I don't know whether it's common knowledge or not in the community but from a little light reading it seems that under normal circumstances, general wisdom favours a Li-Po recharge around the 40-50% drain mark.

@GavRev   My light reading generally agrees with yours.  The important thing is that very deep discharges DO shorten battery life.

Seems to be the case as far as physics is concerned but I doubt this is the
root cause of people's (and my) battery woes, unless there is something
very specific which is happening in the manufacturing process or tolerances
prescribed therein!
