Looking for a cheap compatible device with Versa 2

Hi,

Does anyone have any views on the cheapest Android phone which is compatible with the Versa 2 (without having to go through the list and googling each one)?

I have already once descended into the hell of coping with the incompatibility of this particular Fitbit product before so I'd be keen to avoid it again !

Hello @Surreyrunner10, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, my apologies for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you would like to confirm which mobile devices are compatible with our products and services, please check the information that's specified on our help article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker? Keep in mind that the price may vary depending on where are you located, the retailer, availability, etc. Therefore, it's not easy to directly answer your question.

In regards your Versa 2, can you please let me know if you're experiencing an issue with your Fitbit and your current mobile device? If such is the case, please let me know which phone are you using and the actual issue so we can move forward.

Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.

Hi Ricardo, I have a Leagoo phone running Android 7. The Versa 2 simply won't be recognised by it, when I try to set it up through the app it closes the page down and I can get no further. The app I have on my Windows PC also won't set up any Versa 2 phone.

Thanks for your update @Surreyrunner10, my apologies for the delay in responding.

I appreciate the details that were shared with me. Because the Leagoo phone is not compatible with our products and services, we cannot ensure that your Versa 2 will connect with it. That said, please try with a compatible device instead or with your computer taking into consideration the steps that are specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I would just like to point out that the list in the link you shared here is not anywhere near accurate. I like my LG phones and my Stylo 4 and Q37 are both Android version 9 and neither work with my Versa 2 the way they are supposed to. I actually BOUGHT my LG Q37 SPECIFICALLY because my Stylo 4 was not compatible and the Q37 met all the supposed requirements. As you can tell this is a sensitive subject for me as I otherwise did not NEED a new phone and wasted $180.00 bucks for a smaller phone with the same problem with the Versa 2. It was not an issue with the watch itself as I returned the first one before I bought the phone and then bought a brand new one with the same issue. I figured since the Q37 was a durable, waterproof phone, it would make sense for Fitbit to include it in the compatible category as LG is a leading brand of phone and at the time the Q37 was the top choice for relatively cheap LG phones that are waterproof. I guess all I'm trying to say is it would benefit a lot of people if your list was more thorough. Then I wouldn't be mad and people like me wouldn't be mad.
