Lost data after sync

After a couple of weeks of recording data, I was synching my versa lite through the Android app and on the first attempt recieved a "synch error" message.  I rebooted my phone and again attempted to synch which indicated the synch was successful.  However, after the synch, while I do have this morning's steps all data including steps are missing from the previous two days.  We are doing a company challenge and those two days were big step days.  Any way to recover?

Hello @ccac56 , it's great to see you in the Community!

Thank you for sharing the details of the issue you've had with syncing your Fitbit Versa. I understand how important it is to have all your steps synced correctly for a company challenge and appreciate your efforts to resolve this. Do you still experience difficulties with syncing? You can find the troubleshooting steps in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If your device is syncing now, could you please confirm if you still don't see the steps for the previous days on your dashboard? You can manually log your exercise for the missing steps to show on your dashboard by following these steps: How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app? Please be aware that steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges.

Please keep me posted.

I am getting sick of losing data . Has anyone at Fitbit thought about testing new setups before releasing them to their subscribers?. I have just lost three days of 20,000+ steps. per day. It does not really matter to me  but when I saw the Modertaor's   reply to someone who had lost data which being used in a Company challenge I was astounded. The suggestion was to use a pen and paper. Why stop there? Why not go back and used a stone face and a chisel. We pay a lot of money to use the technology and data but it seems that most Corporates technology groups are full of "Game Players" who throw out their updates without adequate testing and then "see if there is a problem".
